"Pferde und Fotografie – für mich die perfekte Kombination, auch wenn ich nicht immer wusste, dass sie mein Leben bestimmen würden. Als ich mich eines Tages von meinem Pferd trennen und somit auch den gesamten Reiter-Alltag aufgeben musste, war da plötzlich eine Lücke, die nichts zu füllen schien. Doch manchmal führt das Leben uns genau dorthin, wo wir sein sollen. Mit einer kleinen Hobbykamera zog ich los und begann, die Welt um mich herum festzuhalten. Landschaften, Menschen, Architektur – alles war dabei. Doch erst, als ich eines Tages an einer Pferdeweide mit Fohlen vorbeikam und spontan meine Kamera zückte, wusste ich: Das ist es. Das ist, was ich machen will. Seitdem brennt dieses Feuer für die Pferdefotografie in mir, und ich liebe es, die einzigartige Verbindung zwischen Mensch und Pferd in Bildern einzufangen."
Hi, I'm Nathalie.
Born in Munich with Hessian roots, living in beautiful Potsdam since 2017. Four years ago I would not have entertained a single thought that I could one day follow in my father's footsteps as a photographer. (And he probably doesn't either).
You could call it coincidence, or somehow fate. But if you think about it carefully, it could only have happened that way.
One day, when I had to part ways with my longtime four-legged friend and also had to give up the entire horse world, there was suddenly a huge hole. My little hobby camera came in very handy at that time, which I took with me on my walks to take photos here and there from now on. I had found a purpose again and from then on, I was intensively engaged in photography. Landscape, people, architecture - I tried pretty much everything.
One day, almost two years without horses, I passed a horse pasture with foals on a bike tour. Of course I couldn't avoid unpacking my camera and photographing the little speedsters. At that moment, a fire ignited in my soul and I knew immediately, that is what I want to do - Equine photography. The rest is history :)
